Oxygen Starvation
Austin I. Weber
April 30, 2004
I believe a primary cause of Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s,
Autism, loss of the sense of smell, and memory loss
among the elderly may very well be what I call “Oxygen
Starvation.” With shallow breathing certain
brain cells can become inactive and, in time, may
be unable to function properly. No medical cure has
yet been found for any of the ailments mentioned,
and treatment has been difficult, producing only temporary
relief for some.
One of the best things to come along
so far in the case of Autism is keeping the child
active, which in effect causes him to breathe more
deeply and thus allay Oxygen Starvation.
My theory should not be hard to prove
or disprove. A statistical analysis of world population
as to their physical activity and breathing habits
should help provide the necessary facts.
